Zachary Hafner has worn dual hats throughout his professional career. For 25 years, he has been a management consultant and strategic advisor to many of the country’s largest healthcare organizations. In this capacity, he has worked with health systems, payers, and venture capital firms in areas such as strategic growth, value transformation, and M&A. Mr. Hafner is a regular speaker on health care issues and has authored numerous articles for various industry publications. Today, in addition to working with large clients, he is an advisor to several start-up companies and mentor to their leadership teams.
As his other hat, Mr. Hafner is Executive Director of the Barbara Ann Steel Charitable Foundation. In this role, he sets the Foundation’s strategy, directs its investments, and manages its grant processes. As Executive Director, Mr. Hafner works closely with a range of national, regional, and local non-profit partners to support them in meeting their missions.
Zachary lives in San Diego with his wife and two children.
