Biography

Dr. Pollak received his D.Phil in Astrophysics from the University of Oxford in 2018 after which he spent another year at Oxford commissioning the Goonhilly-3 radio telescope receiver system.

In 2019, Dr. Pollak joined the SETI Institute as Science and Engineering Operations Manager at the Allen Telescope Array to work on the feed refurbishment program. 

Dr. Pollak’s research interests include analogue and digital signal processing, cryogenically cooled receiver systems, and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
