The SETI Institute’s Drake Award honors exemplary contributions to SETI and astrobiology through scientific research and/or space exploration. Named for Frank Drake, whose Drake Equation first outlined the factors necessary for life and technological civilizations to emerge, the award recognizes those expanding our understanding of life in the universe.
