The World Young Scientist Summit is an academic event hosted for the world young high talents. It is joint-sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government. The Summit is set to be held annually. It has received warm responses from more than 20 international academic organizations.

With its long-term vision for building A Community of Common Destiny for all Humanities, the Summit set on the Converging the World's Talents Creating a Better Future theme. Having oriented for One Global Vision with international interests and a china voice, the Summit attracts talents from all corners of the world for their dreams in sciences. In acknowledging ‘the future of science and technology is dependent of our young’ being the global and century concerns, the Summit built on its main discussion premise around world’s young scientists with integrated interest from industries, venture capitals, arts and other societal endeavors. It has led to another improvement in academic and cultural exchanges, enabled leadership from world’s top scientist, and offered enhanced participations from young scientists, involved private entrepreneurs, and attracted established artists for their creative work displays. Participants are gathered as a show of a join-effort to address global challenges and to build platforms for more adapted for talent communications for increasing capabilities for assisting successes in innovations.

Although the event officially opens on October 18, there will be a special event on October 17: Spooky Action and Life Order. SETI Institute senior planetary astronomer Franck Marchis will be the keynote speaker.
