Dr. Ross Beyer, NASA Ames and the SETI Institute, will discuss what the New Horizons space probe revealed about the surface of Pluto’s moon Charon. The probe showed evidence of a sub-surface ocean early on and Charon’s surface suggests how icy worlds can form far from the gravitational influences of giant planets.
