Greetings

Bettina Forget

In this edition of SETI AIR News we feature Bart Kuipers, one of our Cosmic Consciousness Residency recipients. The residency explores questions regarding intelligence, communication, and consciousness through the medium of literature and experimental poetry. Bart has a unique take on creative writing, integrating AR, media arts, and computer code. Read more about him below.

As always, make sure to catch up on our SETI AIR’s news and events.

Clear skies,

AIR Program Spotlight

Bart Kuipers

Bart Kuipers

Bart Kuipers is part of the Exoplanet Poetry artist trio, which is working on an intriguing project that combines the chemistry of exoplanet atmospheres, Assembly Theory, AI, and poetry. Bart is a hybrid writer and multimedia storyteller from the Netherlands living in Berlin. He is the unexpected product of a master's degree in computer science and an MFA in creative writing and anything at the intersection of language and tech has a high probability of being interesting to him. He has published poetry, short stories, and articles in magazines in the US and the Netherlands and has been a screenwriter for Dutch and German public children’s television shows for the past years.

If you would like to see Jennifer’s art in person, why not grab a ticket and join us at the Drake Awards on May 20, 2025? Enjoy a gala dinner and awards ceremony, meet experts in SETI, astrobiology, and the origin of life, and meet the next generation of groundbreaking scientists.
