Work to be carried out by Dr. Kathy Rages on this project will occupy approximately 6 weeks of her time during Cycle 18. This work consists of photometric calibration of images of Uranus obtained with multiple filters on the Wide Field Camera 3, measurement of specific intensities (I/F) and determination of scattering geometry for the ToO and its surroundings, production of center-to-limb (CTL) intensity profiles for the ToO and the relevant latitude band in each filter of interest, and a preliminary comparison of these CTL profiles with radiative transfer calculations to derive the properties of scatterers and absorbers in the stratosphere and upper troposphere.
