Planet Formation Projects
Monday, June 1, 2009 - 9:52am
A study of the evolution of gaseous protoplanetary disks using gas line emission, and the estimation of disk dispersal times.
Accretion Disk Processes: From Dust to Planetesimals, and Formation and Evolution of Satellite Systems
Friday, August 1, 2008 - 4:40pm
A study into how planetesimals form from dust and how satellite systems form around giant planets.
Monday, June 30, 2008 - 9:49am
An analysis of how planetary disks evolve and their capacity to form planets, including a method for estimating disk lifetimes. We thus determine the range of stellar and disk properties that are conducive to the formation of planetary systems, and therefore, to the origin of life.
