Chairman Emeritus
Frank Drake is a member of the National Academy of Sciences. In 1960, he conducted the first radio search for extraterrestrial intelligence at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia. He is the creator of the Drake equation, and former Director of the School of Science a the University of California at Santa Cruz. more

Al Bagley is a retired Hewlett-Packard executive, having served 37 years for HP in northern California. While at HP, he was the General Manager of the Frequency and Time Division (later became the Santa Clara Division). He also served as Engineering Manager of HPs Electronic Instruments Group. more

Christopher Chyba is Professor of Astrophysics and International Affairs at Princeton University, and the Co-Director of the Program on Science and Global Security at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Chyba was also Director of the Carl Sagan Center for the Study of Life in the Universe from 1998 - 2004. In 2001, he was named a MacArthur Fellow. more

Sandra Faber is University Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics, at the UC Observatories/Lick Observatory. Faber is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and has served on the President's Advisory Panel there since 1993. more

John Gertz

John Gertz is the president and CEO of Zorro Productions, Inc., which he founded in 1977. He has been responsible for four Zorro motion pictures including Zorro, the Gay Blade (1982), The Mask of Zorro (1998), and The Legend of Zorro (2005), the last two starring Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta -Jones. Also under his tenure, seven different ZORRO TV series have been produced, as well as about twenty ZORRO stage productions. more

Charles Townes

Charles Townes is the 1964 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physics. He is the inventor of the maser and co-inventor of the laser. Townes was a professor of Physics at the University of California at Berkeley from 1965 - 1986 and is currently a Professor Emeritus. more
