Science Cafe on "Searching for ET"

Mon, 16 Nov, 2009 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

SCIENCE CAFÉ ON "SEARCHING FOR ET"

How do we search for ET? —and what would it mean if we find it?  Join us for a SCIENCE CAFÉ in a relaxed, informal environment—and enjoy an opportunity to talk with a local expert about the possibility of life on Mars!  Dr. Margaret Race, a NASA researcher with the SETI Institute, will discuss behind-the-scenes planning for solar system missions aimed at “Searching for ET”.

Join us Monday, Nov. 16, from 7:00-8:00 pm at Pizzeria Amoroma, 65 Moraga Way in Orinda.  Admission is free.

Food and beverages are available for purchase.

Sponsored by the California Section of the American Chemical Society which helped bring Family Science Night to Orinda years ago.  Bring your curiosity and questions for a stimulating evening of conversation.  All ages and backgrounds welcome.
