Tucker Bradford Director of Information Technology, Security, & Facilities
Tucker's interest in computing traces back to a project that he and a friend did in the 3rd grade. Tucker had an Osborne 1, and his best friend had an IBM XT. They spent weeks trying to port games from the PC to the Osborne. Little progress was made, but the two developed a passion for computers which led them both to careers in the Industry. Tucker escaped the dotcom bubble (just prior to its pop) in 2000 to establish the SETI Institute's Information Technology department. He now leads a robust team of technical and non- technical people who support the core infrastructure of this dynamic, complex, and growing organization. As a founding member of the three person COO Team, Tucker shares the responsibilities of ensuring that the tactical and strategic efforts of the Institute's operational units are aligned with and promote the success of the Institute's mission.
